Yana Gladkikh & Nikita Efremov

It was year 1968 when Oleg Efremov sat in a car and talked about one particular song in such a funny way, in a Russian classic movie "Three Poplars at Plyuschikha Street". Almost 50 years later his heritage, his grandson Nikita and his bride Yana went out to get married. Did he ever think of the heritage that he will be leaving to this world? One cannot describe a song, as beautiful songs are still beautiful even in 50 years. The nature is constant and does not change in a century, but what Yana and Nikita did is their small moment of now and here. We all have such moments and we should live them fully as time will always get the best of us.

“You are me, and I am you, and we are one"

Tom and Lily had a beautiful greenhouse wedding at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago.

This wedding film is unlike any other wedding we have captured. The edit is unique in regards to the couples style, and the storyline incorporates all of the awesome parts of their wedding that made it unique to them. For example, after their reception, they ended up having some close friends come out to hear Tom DJ at the Castle Night Club for their after party. You'll also see footage from their elopement in Big Sur a few months before! A small group of close friends joined them as they explored for a couple days and exchanged written vows to each other on the beach.

We wanted their wedding film to reflect that energy and creative style that these two possess.

I met Daniel and Jinna through vimeo and after a brief convo we decided to work together. I am so glad that it all worked out - time and time again I am fortunate enough to work with such amazing couples that truly love each other. Daniel and Jinna are funny and so easy to be around. No time was wasted as we immediately connected and started passing jokes back and forth. They are the type of people that make you feel like you have been friends for years. There was never a dull moment with these two. They know how to enjoy the little moments, the big moments and everything in between. As funny as they are, they also care deeply for one another and the conviction that they live by. Thanks Daniel and Jinna for being so authentic and loving - love you two!

Last fall we took an epic 28 day road trip through the West Coast of America. After seeing all the cities, the roads, the national parks and the people only one word describes what we saw and experienced: Wild. We drove over 6500km, swam in an old volcano, ate delicious foods, got my camera bag and wife's wedding ring stolen and visited too many amazing places. I would highly recommend taking the trip!

Almost all of it is filmed handheld on the GH4 using a Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 lens. We also had the DJI Phantom quadcopter with a GoPro to get the aerial shots. Additional footage from Jon Kuhn.

Edited in Premiere Pro and colour graded using Vision Colors Impulz LUTs in After Effects.

This is a video review of the Panasonic HC-X1000 4K camcorder. This camcorder is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Although it comes from the semi professional market it has nothing but professional features on board. The magic starts with 4K 50p and ends with 444 10bit HD footage, truly stunning pictures. Using SDHC affordable class 10 speed 3 cards this is a 4K camera that not only films in 50p 150 MB/s but gives you 52m on a 64G SDXC card.
